Alessia is a PhD student in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the computational modelling of pulmonary vein stenosis.  Alessia obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from McMaster University in 2022. Her undergraduate research with the ATOMS lab involved the use of virtual surgery techniques to simulate the repair of the congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot.
