Manav is a first-year undergraduate Chemical Engineering student at the University of Toronto. His research will be focused on the characterization and modelling of cycle-aged Lithium-ion cells, through a Kinetics-based Approach for electric vehicle applications. He is responsible for implementing specific cycling protocols for accelerated aging primarily through the formation of the Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI), capturing critical aging trajectories, and analyzing the generated data for further first-principle predictions of a battery’s State of Health (SOH). This work will help him further evolve the skillset he brings from the electrochemical-based modelling he has worked on as a part of the University of Toronto Formula SAE (FSAE) Racing team.
