Yu Sung is a research assistant in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department. He joined the ATOMS lab in the summer of 2024. He received his M.Sc. in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in 2023 from the University of Calgary and his B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering in 2017 from McMaster University. His previous research was on electrocermics, and AI enabled machining optimization, with support from NSERC and international collaboration. He worked for the manufacturing industry in design and maintenance roles, with thermofluids and power applications in plant automation and wastewater treatment.
