Aidmary Torres

PhD Student

Aidmary earned her BSc in Geophysical Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Venezuela. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Toronto in the ATOMS lab. Her research focuses on the integration of machine learning and geophysical methods to optimize the 3D mapping and monitoring of contaminated groundwater. Building on her previous work in hydrogeophysical modeling in geothermal systems, she now works on bridging the gap between geoelectrical surveys and AI-driven frameworks to identify pollution regimes and migration fronts in vulnerable environmental settings.
