Amir is a Ph.D. student at the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department. The overarching aim of his research is to optimize the design of bioreactors for the recellularization of the trachea and lungs. The particular interest of his project is to model the recellularization of the scaffolds in perfusion bioreactors. He has a strong knowledge of numerical analysis in Python and MATLAB. Amir obtained his master’s degree from the University of Waterloo (2019) and his bachelor’s degree from Sharif University of Technology (2015). Before joining the ATOMS Lab, Amir worked on the mechanobiological modeling of angiogenesis in cancer.
