Alex is an undergraduate student in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, Canada. Alex’s research aimed to enhance UTFR’s ongoing efforts in EV battery pack design by structurally, electrically, and thermally characterizing battery pouch cells as UofT’s FSAE team pushes to transition from cylindrical cells to a pouch cell battery pack architecture.

Alex has been awarded ESROP (Engineering Science Research Opportunities Program)— UofT Fellowship
for his research on ‘Structurally, Electrically, and Thermally Characterizing Battery Pouch Cells for Motorsport Racing Applications’.
