Damir Ferhatovic

MASc Student

Damir is a MASc candidate in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Toronto, Canada. He joined the ATOMS lab in 2021 and his research will focus on hierarchical electro-thermal modelling of electric vehicle batteries. Damir received his Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Windsor in 2020.

In Fall of 2019, he held a co-op term at the Fiat Chrysler Canada Automotive Research and Development Centre (ARDC) in Windsor, Ontario. There, he worked as a System Simulation Co-op Engineer where he calibrated single volume and multi-zone cabin models in Amesim and GT-Suite to predict temperatures within vehicles for soak and cool down scenarios. His undergraduate Capstone project involved the research, design, and development of a PCM thermal management system for the University of Windsor Hyperloop Team.
