Joel Alex is a second-year Chemical Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Toronto. He is a recipient of the prestigious NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award and will be conducting research under the guidance of Professor Daniela Galatro and Professor Cristina Amon. Joel’s research focuses on exploring alternative methods of hydrogen production, leveraging nuclear energy. His work involves process simulation and modelling using tools such as MATLAB and ASPEN PLUS or HYSYS, with selected models to be incorporated into the CHE210 Heat and Mass Transfer course at the University of Toronto.
