Julia is a third year Chemical Engineering student at the University of Toronto.  She aims to obtain informative data from existing water quality assessments and analytical reports of surface and groundwater sources from an area of concern in Northern Ontario. This area has been affected by a leachate plume from a bark dump migrating towards the community and other point sources of contamination, with engineering reports confirming the presence of high levels of pollutants at monitoring wells. The results derived from this analysis will likely yield insight into the influence of specific contaminants on health. This project is in collaboration with ATOMS Lab and the Centre for Indigenous People.
