Mahsa Hajialibabaei is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on designing and optimizing thermal management systems for lithium-ion batteries, applying Machine Learning models to enhance performance and efficiency.

She completed her PhD at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she employed Computational Fluid Dynamics and experimental studies to optimize cooling systems for electronic devices and lithium-ion batteries. As part of her doctoral research, she proposed new designs for heat sinks and used design optimization methodologies and multiscale thermal modeling. She gained technical experience through two internships: at Mitacs, where she developed thermal management systems for lithium-ion batteries under extreme weather conditions, and at the MedTech Talent Accelerator as a product development engineer. Before starting her PhD, Mahsa worked as a mechanical engineer in the industry, which gave her practical experience and insight.
