Manuela is completing her undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. Her research centers on investigating the role of mechanical cues, such as interstitial flow and shear stress, in the formation of microvascular networks during vasculogenesis. As part of this project, she employs computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using COMSOL to understand the effect of fluid flow conditions on vascularization.
