Andrew Michalak

Research Assistant

Andrew is currently working as a research associate with the ATOMs lab and UTEV centre. He completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Universtiy of Guelph (2017) before coming to the Unviersity of Toronto to attain an MASc with the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department (2019). With extensive undergraduate experience in heat transfer and advanced fluid dynamics, his research focuses on utilizing CFD tools to design and optimized advanced thermal management systems for high output EV power electronics. His current projects include designing compact, integrated inverter modules for on-board EV chargers, characterizeing and prototyping  developing innovative optimization techniques for high performance liquid heat sinks
