Patrick Lin
PhD Student
Patrick completed his BASc in Mechanical Engineering with ThermoFluids option at the University of British Columbia. He joined the ATOMS lab as a MASc student using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to develop and prototype a novel cavopulmonary assist device for use in Fontan patients as a bridge to transplant strategy. Patrick is currently a PhD student with a thesis investigating hemodynamic flow structures in Fenestrated Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (FEVAR) patients under the guidance of both Professor Cristina Amon and Dr. Thomas Forbes. Patrick’s research interests are in CFD, fluid mechanics and hemodynamics in vascular flows.
