Robert is a first year undergraduate TrackOne Undeclared Engineering student at the University of Toronto. His research will be focused on the experimental characterization of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and stationary energy storage applications. He is responsible for instrumenting cell test fixtures, monitoring tests, and gathering and post-processing transient thermo-electrochemical battery performance data. He will work with Li-NMC pouch cell testing initially, and then further explore the thermal characterization of other Electric Vehicle (EV) battery form factors. This work will further develop the skillset he brings from the University of Toronto Formula SAE (FSAE) Racing team.
