Rodean is an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering student and just recently finished his first year at the University of Toronto. He is passionate about battery technology and robotics due to their interdisciplinary nature and countless applications. As a member of the University of Toronto Formula Racing team (UTFR) Rodean will be developing on the team’s partnership with ATOMS. His project aims to add to the electrochemical characterization of Lithium-ion pouch cells in order to maximize capacity retention and minimize temperature rise during high current draw for the coming FSAE competition cycle, minimizing aging and optimizing battery pack design.
