Allana Nakashook-Zettler

Allana is a third-year Chemical Engineering student at the University of Toronto. She is Inuk and has lived in many places throughout Canada. For her research, she seeks to quantify various factors affecting the development of Acute Myeloid Leukemia, particularly the presence of benzene, as higher rates of Acute Myeloid Leukemia are being observed in Northern Ontario, particularly in Indigenous Communities. By identifying risk factors, Allana aims to contribute to the betterment of environmental conditions for Indigenous People.
