Lisa Bailey

MASc Student

Lisa is a MASc student in the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the University of Toronto, Canada. She joined the ATOMS lab in 2022, and her research will focus on the thermal characterization of pouch cells for electric vehicle applications. Lisa received her Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainability Studies from Ontario Tech University in 2021. She is also a certified technician in Ontario and has over three years of experience working in the energy industry.

 

Lisa and her team designed and developed a low-cost refrigeration system for application in remote regions without electricity or compressed air for her undergraduate capstone project. She was also a recipient of an Undergraduate Research Award in 2019, where she conducted research on external heat engines such as the Stirling engine.
